How this started
I've been the person stopping at yard sales and garage sales for years. Not because I needed another lamp or box of old stuff, but because I liked figuring out what things actually were. I'd find something interesting, research it, compare what similar pieces had sold for, and often list it on eBay.
After doing that long enough, you develop an instinct for when something deserves a second look.
Get It Gone 901 came from seeing how useful that mindset could be during an estate sale. A house may contain hundreds or thousands of ordinary things, but mixed into them can be an old watch, a piece of furniture, a toy, a book, a coin, or something else that shouldn't be priced casually.
I don't claim to know the value of everything the second I see it. Nobody honestly can. What we do know is when to stop, investigate, and use the tools available to make a better decision.
That's how we approach every house.
